As we approach Thanksgiving, I stop to realize how very thankful I am. I have a wonderful, healthy family, great friends, including my “Blogging Buddies”, my health (that wasn’t always the case as I battled cancer at age 27!), and my faith in Jesus as my savior! I need to be more mindful of all that I have in the upcoming days and not lose sight of what’s really important. I tend to get swallowed up in the busy-ness of my life.
This week, Hannah, my second oldest, went from looking like this….
To this….
Isn’t she beautiful in her new braces??!!! She spent the day at home with me yesterday as her teeth were really hurting her. It’s amazing to me how fast the teeth move into correct alignment once braces are on! She has to wear them for 20 months!
On a separate note…want to win a $25 gift certificate to my Etsy shop??? Go to my buddy Pam’s blog and register for a drawing that she is having there!
To see more Wordful Wednesday posts, go to Angie’s blog. May you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!!!

Happy WW and Happy Thanksgiving! :)
She is absolutely beautiful! Her teeth look beautiful too!
Ok, so ummm...her teeth are look perfectly straight in the first picture! LOL She is such a beautiful girl, and even more so with her new braces. Angela LOVES to pick out new colors every time we go. She's red and green right now. She insisted they were Thanksgiving colors. Wonder what she'll pick at her next visit? Pink and white?
oh wow I thoguht the first picture was her after she got them off, they look perfect! braces really suck if I may say so myself, I got them on as an adult, yuck and yes painful in the beginning, plus you can chew its like your teeth are numb. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

I just saw your comment and I couldn't believe the sock lady stopped by my blog!
Anyway I about cried when I read your comment because we were supposed to have a son from Guatemala. We had suffered with infertility for 4 years and started the adoption process. 2 weeks after our paperwork was sent in we found out we were pregnant with a miracle baby. Our homestudy agency told us a week before we were to get our referral that they wouldn't let us do it because we were pregnant.
I also dream of adopting a child with down syndrome someday so I am now a follower of your blog.
I was just dreaming about your socks this morning too thinking I needed to order some for Christmas.
I'm amazed how they make braces look for hip these days. Not when I was a teenager that's for sure. cute.
She is beautiful.
Stopping from Seven Clown Circus.
